NEW BEGINNINGS CHIROPRACTIC

How we help you

Misalignments of the spine are referred to as (vertebral) subluxations. Subluxations interfere with nerve transmissions, messages between the brain and the body. Interruptions of these messages allow sickness and disease to develop within the body, presenting as any number of symptoms (such as sciatica, migraines, IBS). We locate and correct these misalignments allowing the body to heal from within; above, down, inside, out.

finding misalignments

Spinal x-rays are taken in our office to know when, where, what to adjust as well as when not to adjust and instead make the appropriate referral (out of the office). Todays x-rays are highly efficient, minimizing the exposure to the person and providing detailed pictures allowing for a focused approach towards your health.

NOTE: films are not taken in every case, only when necessary.

Thermal scans

The nerves innervate (control) the skin in patches and the temperature should be consistent. An increase in temperature often indicates nerve irritation. The irritation creates a sick pattern and periodic scanning allows us to check to see if our care is having an impact. The symptom can still be present and the pattern can be changing, telling us to continue with our approach.

Correcting misalignments

The adjustment reduces and corrects the spinal misalignment. It is most often done by hand and in some cases the assistance of a table or instrument is used. Certain health conditions (osteoporosis) require a reduced force to the spine and the instrument allows for this accommodation. Some people simply don’t like to hear the cracking/popping sound and the table or instrument removes the audible popping/cracking sound from the procedure.

BABY SYMPTOMS

Infants and babies don’t complaint of neck and lower back pain obviously, but they do often present with common symptoms. Ailments that babies suffer from include; colic, insomnia, digestive issues/reflux, torticollis, constipation, and lip, tongue and cheek tie issues (care to support revision) along with many others.

Does your child have any concerning issues?

baby exams

Dr. Lynn explains how she evaluates a child’s need for chiropractic care. It is a very thorough examination and uses the natural reflexes to check proper neurologic function within your child.

BABY ADJUSTMENTS

Dr. Lynn has advanced training in infant and baby adjusting. Due to this advanced training, Dr. Lynn is the only one that checks and cares for infants and babies.

In this video, Dr. Lynn explains the force that is applied to the adjustment when adjusting a baby.

Removing Barriers

Costs associated with care are always discussed before any services are rendered so that you are informed and therefore comfortable and can then focus on what is most important, your health.

If you don’t have coverage, do not let that stop you. Approximately 90% of our practice
members have no chiropractic benefits. Our policy is that everyone should be able to afford the
care that they need. For this reason, we offer individual and family care plans.

Back on Track

People drop out of care for a number of reasons, the most common being they feel better. They think that because they don’t have any pain that their problem has been fixed, never to return. this simple is not true. We are constantly subjected to stress and our bodies absorb the vast majority of that stress. Your level of health is directly proportional to your body’s ability to adapt and handle stress. If you find yourself experiencing symptoms then you are not fitting the definition of healthy.

We have good news for you! You are always welcome to start your journey with us again, no judgement. In fact, they say that on average a person has to drop out of care three times before adopting a wellness lifestyle; that is one that focuses on taking care of themselves before a problem arises, much like how we brush our teeth daily to prevent dental cavities and gum disease.

Am I STARTING OVER?

Yes. However, this largely depends upon time, how long has it been since your last adjustment. Your body is much more likely to accept the adjustment much faster than if you have never been adjusted. In other words, your body remembers how healthy it is to be in a good alignment and can accept the adjustment and start the healing process much faster as it is not deciphering whether or not the adjustment is a good or bad thing.

DO I NEED X-RAYS?

If you haven’t been adjusted in over two years, the answer is often yes. However, the answer depends on a number of factors; how long has it been since your last adjustment, is there anything new going on, have you had any surgeries or broken bones during the time you have been missing from care? Our goal is to be specific with the adjustment, knowing exactly which vertebra to adjust is paramount.
